The predicted salary is between 50000 - 56000 € per year.

You will be involved in the whole lifecycle of a multitude of differing projects, typically ranging from one to two years. While the primary focus is testing of hardware and model validation, much work is invested in preparing for the tests: agreeing on requirements, producing planning and safety documentation, developing & building test hardware, and report writing, as well as the trial conduct itself. As the Trials Lead you will be responsible for the trial conduct and for ensuring the health and safety of all personnel during these activities. Test phases vary in size, from small screen‑room tests in Filton to off‑site multi‑week deployments in the UK and overseas. Each team member also has a secondary role in maintaining and evolving our world‑leading testing capability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of hardware testing projects.
  • Agree on testing requirements and produce planning and safety documentation.
  • Develop and build test hardware.
  • Write test reports and conduct trial activities.
  • Lead trial conduct and ensure health & safety of personnel.
  • Maintain and evolve testing capability.

Qualifications

  • Electronic design experience desirable.
  • Understanding of trial processes and safety management.
  • Appreciation of verification and validation processes to deliver programmes in accordance with the DVP.
  • Ability to work flexibly to adapt programme milestones and timescales.
  • Willingness to undergo the Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance process.

Security Clearance

All successful candidates must be British citizens. At the offer stage, all candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Salary & Location

Salary: Up to £56,000 depending on experience. Location: Bristol (relocation package may be offered). Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3–5 days per week on‑site, depending on workload classification.
