The Effector System Project Engineer will work with the two Effector Systems RMOs (Laser Source and Beam Director) to deliver two key external Effector Sub‑Systems for DragonFire. The Effector System includes a very high power laser and an electro‑optical‑mechanical assembly that directs the high energy beam, which is controlled by the weapon system. The Effector is integrated and assembled on a transportable container assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage acceptance and delivery of the Effector sub‑systems, including final assembly, integration and test.
- Interface with external partners and manage technical and programmatic interfaces.
- Lead technical work packages and support functional integration of the Laser Source within the wider sub‑system definition.
- Proactively engage stakeholders, build relationships and manage technical risks.
- Develop and deliver technical statements of work and deliverables for third‑party suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with complex sub‑system delivery and integration of electro‑optical‑mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering for weapon systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with third‑party suppliers and deliver technical statements of work.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and risk management skills.
