Test Equipment Design Engineer, Production Design Support in Bolton

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer to join our Production Design Support Team in Bolton. You will play an integral role in providing Test Equipment design support to the Manufacturing organization, acting as a key interface between design teams and manufacturing teams and working alongside other support engineers to share knowledge and drive project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
• Experience of working within a multi‑disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring.
• A passion for innovation and collaboration.
• Experienced engineer who will be prepared to work autonomously if needed, leading the delivery of your work assignments and actively engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.
• Solid experience of managing discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions.
• Investigative skills to be able to find root causes of design‑related issues and propose robust corrective actions.
• Full product‑lifecycle knowledge or experience.
• Willingness to provide support to and mentor other engineers and engineering technicians.
• Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines: RF and Antenna Design, Electrical Architecture, Design for Safety and Integrity, RF Test and measurement principle knowledge.

Working Arrangements

Security Clearance
