Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of IT spend across the Group, including Enterprise, Engineering, Manufacturing, SaaS, Services, Cyber, Networks, Hardware, Security, AI and High Performance Computing.
- Specialise in one area or develop expertise in new areas, broadening knowledge over time.
- Own and run large procurement projects to support Category Managers.
- Travel and work internationally in the UK, Germany, Italy, or Paris, with quarterly meetings at those sites.
- Build and maintain internal and international stakeholder relationships.
- Use strong communication and negotiation skills to achieve the best value for the Group.
- Adapt to dynamic and changing procurement priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced IT procurement professional or an established Indirect Buyer ready to move into IT procurement.
- Good procurement knowledge in other Indirect categories and a willingness to learn IT procurement.
- Strong soft and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in an international context.
- Ability to own and run large procurement projects.
- Working towards or a qualified MCIPS professional is preferred; routes to MCIPS qualification are offered.
- British citizenship or dual UK nationality required for security clearance.
Working Conditions
- Salary: Circa £45,000–£55,000, depending on experience.
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
- All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
- Travel to stakeholder or supplier meetings across the Group’s sites.
