This role is for an Electrical Test Operator within the Manufacturing team, supporting the test and certification of electrical hardware builds from small fixtures to complex missile systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Test completed hardware builds to ensure compliance with drawing requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in line with 5S policies.
  • Achieve all time, cost and quality targets.
  • Ensure assembly unit production costs are met.
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Complete all manufacturing documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with operators, engineering and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard) or equivalent Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.) or Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ).
  • Experience in reading and interpreting assembly drawings and planning instructions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tools and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, without close supervision.
  • Commitment to high standards and consistently delivering quality work.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing tasks.
