We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and take our technology and your career into new territories! MBDA is a great place to learn about the company's entire product portfolio, whilst embracing the change to DevOps and other innovative technologies!

Salary: £40,000-£75,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically for this role you will work 3-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

You will be responsible for designing and developing Test equipment software to test the world leading and Complex missile systems and sub-components.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions
  • Strong ability to write software in C/C++; scripting languages would be an advantage to our future direction.
  • Previous experience working in an agile development team.
  • A strong understanding of what is required to create high quality software and the ability to support quality practices
  • A good understanding of automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices
  • Knowledge of electronics measurement and debug techniques using equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
