Salary: £41,500 - £43,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The Mechanical Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for carrying out the production, repair and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements.

You will:

  • Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
  • Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
  • Ensure manufacturing build, inspection, and where relevant, inspection times are met.
  • Check and complete all required manufacturing data requirements.
  • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  • Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure.
  • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a good housekeeping policy.
  • Communicate best practice to other team members.

What we're looking for from you:

Qualifications required (all of the below):

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)

A team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus. Proven planning and organisational skills. Flexible and adaptable approach.
