A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for an experienced Functional Resource Manager to provide leadership and strategic direction for Electronic Engineering (EE) UK resource management within MBDA.
Salary: Circa Β£60,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
This is a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Functional Resource Manager to provide leadership and strategic direction for Electronic Engineering (EE) UK resource management. This includes forecasting workload, managing headcount, onboarding our new hires, planning people skills and capabilities, overseeing the early careers program, streamlining processes and adopting suitable tools for our workforce. Collaborating with senior leadership, department heads and Group leads, you will help shape EE to be agile and responsive to changing demographics and business needs. Additionally, you will promote and share standard processes to enhance functional capability throughout the organization.
Reporting to the Head of EE UK's Future Technologies and Governance, this role offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in a Functional Management role and work at a strategic leadership level.
What we're looking for from you:
- Ideally degree qualified with a solid background in an engineering business.
- Experience of developing people management strategy, including areas such as strategic headcount and skills and capability planning.
- Solid Experience of people/team management with evidence of mentoring and coaching others.
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of contract resource management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and network across all levels of the business and a wide range of stakeholders.
