Location: Bristol
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

The opportunity:
As the System of Systems Integration lead your primary objective is to lead and co‑ordinate a multi‑disciplinary engineering team in engagement with the customer along with industry partners in support of integration (physical/functional) of an MBDA land product into a wider Ground Based Air Defence Weapon System context.
As the System of System Integration Lead you will be responsible for leading the following System of Systems activities for a MBDA Ground Based Air Defence export contract:
- Working with the customer to define System of Systems Requirements, including evolution paths for future development
- Main technical point of contact to the customer and industry partners for all System of Systems activities and technical queries
- Lead regular technical working groups with the customer including co‑ordinating with engineering teams on required inputs
- Co‑ordinating and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team on technical issues, queries and conflict resolution including co‑ordinating responses to and from the customer and industrial partners.
This role will involve regular travel overseas (2 times a month for 3/4 days and up to 3 times in busy periods) to support engagement with the customer and industry partners.
What we're looking for from you:
- An experienced engineer with proven experience in developing and integrating complex systems, preferably in the defence industry
- Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to initiate and drive trade studies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders (internally and externally)
- Experience developing requirement sets, and an ability to agreeing these collaboratively with different stakeholder groups including System Design Authorities and Government organisations
- Project engineering knowledge to be able to design and deliver work packages
