Senior Electronics Engineer in Bolton

Salary Circa £42,000-£48,000 depending on experience

Location: Bolton

Working arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizens Only. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Opportunity:

We are Electronic Engineering. We are growing, dedicated, and we work as a team to design & develop our advanced electronic solutions for MBDA products. Your role as an Electronics Engineer is to develop electronic solutions for cutting‑edge systems. This will mainly include design, qualification and certification activities across the whole product lifecycle for Land, Sea, and Air platforms. This role offers various types of work, challenges, and a multitude of applications; typically this includes reviewing requirements; generating a concept solution, schematics, and manufacturing data packs; involvement in component & COTS (commercial off‑the‑shelf product) selection; design, test, qualify to meet high-reliability & harsh environments; technical report writing; involvement supporting investigations and our colleagues in manufacturing. You can work in our labs and get hands‑on working on bread‑board demonstrators through to flight standard hardware. This is a fantastic opportunity to shadow our more experienced Electronics Engineers & Technical Leads, learn from them and the teams around you before leading your own projects and developing to a Senior Electronics Engineer or Tech Lead. Requirements:

• Proactive individuals who are motivated to develop within their Senior Electronics Engineer role.
• Degree qualified (electronics engineering, science, physics) or HND equivalent experience, with experience in development of electronics products and a background in complex electronics and working in a multi‑functional team (e.g. with mechanical, firmware, and software).
• Sound track record in electronic design capability throughout the product life cycle, i.e. early concept through to production; organized with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in what you deliver.
• Right attitude and passion to develop—training and support available to broaden skills and experience and take steps towards senior roles and onwards.
• Clear progression path and support for career growth and development.
