We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of building materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures. This role is vital to our ongoing and upcoming building projects.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units to construct and repair structures.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to determine specifications and calculate materials required.
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation.
- Align bricks and blocks using levels and plumb lines.
- Cut and shape bricks to fit corners, arches, and complex patterns.
- Ensure work is performed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bricklayer in a construction environment.
- Must hold a valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
