MB McGrady & Co is a well-established and reputable accountancy firm providing a range of services to clients across Northern Ireland and beyond. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service, and we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Receptionist to be the face of our Downpatrick Office.

As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional and welcoming experience. You will manage administrative duties, facilitate client interactions, and contribute to the smooth daily running of the office. You will also provide administrative support to the Practice.

Working Hours: Office based, a degree of flexibility within core hours 8am-6pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-2pm Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a polite and professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages when necessary
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings
  • Assist with general office administration tasks, including filing and data entry
  • Support accounting staff with document preparation and client communication
  • Perform any additional duties as required to support office operations

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous and demonstrable experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally within an office or professional environment
  • IT Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Discretion and respect for confidentiality
