We are searching for a talented Management Accountant to join a high performing finance team, based on the outskirts of Stafford. This is an excellent opportunity for an industry-trained accountant! Ideally, we are seeking someone who is either nearing the completion of their studies or newly qualified in ACCA or CIMA, and eager to contribute to a successful business.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Industry qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a finalist actively pursuing qualification.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a desire to contribute to continuous improvement.
Role responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the commercial team with financial modelling and business case development.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with the year-end audit process and statutory accounts preparation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of financial systems and processes.
