We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site organisation to recruit a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on an initial 3–6 month contract paying between £16 - £18ph. This role has been created to support a large-scale reconciliations project across multiple trading locations. You will play a key role in ensuring customer payments are accurately allocated, investigating discrepancies, and liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding queries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced finance environment. Key responsibilities: Reconcile customer payments and accurately allocate receipts to the correct accounts. Investigate unmatched or misallocated payments, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Liaise with operational sites and internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve outstanding queries. Maintain accurate financial records and support the wider finance team with reconciliation-related tasks. Key requirements: Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Cash Allocations role. Strong reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Confident communicator, able to build relationships and resolve queries with stakeholders at all levels.
