We’re working with a growing organisation in Birmingham that requires an experienced Interim Management Accountant to provide immediate support during a busy period. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can quickly integrate into the team and deliver reliable financial insight from day one. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of core finance processes and deliver timely, accurate insights to support business performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders to drive performance
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
Key requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE
- Proven track record in management accounting within a commercial setting
- Able to step in quickly with minimal handover
- Strong communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
- Advanced Excel skills and confident with finance systems
- Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working autonomously
