We have been instructed to find a professional interim Finance Manager to join our client who is an expanding logistics business based near Goole on an initial 6-month contract with the possibility to extend and/or go permanent.
They are looking for a strong, immediately available Finance Manager to join forces with the client, sales and operational teams to provide accurate analysis of forecast and actual costs to ensure the financial implications of key projects are understood from the outset and well tracked during delivery. Your impact will lead to improvement in transparent reporting, help drive effective decision making, ensure course correction and help maximise the commercial return. This role will report to the commercial team with a dotted line into finance and be based in the office at least 4 days per week.
Key responsibilities:- Act as a strategic Finance Manager to the business, providing financial support and guidance to key stakeholders including the marketing, sales and operational teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with non-finance staff, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and objectives.
- Provide financial analysis and insight, identifying trends and opportunities to drive performance mainly within stock.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing input and guidance to the business.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in commercial finance, QBE options will still be considered.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and analyse business performance.
- Experience within the logistics sector able to work under pressure during busy periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems would be advantageous.
