We are partnered with a large, well-established global organisation based near Stoke-on-Trent that is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is a broad and varied opportunity, combining month-end accounting responsibilities with support across the Accounts Payable function, offering excellent exposure within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role would suit an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance, takes pride in producing accurate work and is keen to continue developing professionally. Whether you are already studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or looking to begin your studies, the business offers full support alongside genuine long-term progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT reporting, supplier statement reconciliations and Accounts Payable queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.
Key requirements:
- Previous experience within a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to month-end processes.
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or looking to commence studies.
- Strong Excel skills with excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Positive and proactive approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
