We are seeking a proactive Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant with experience in Private Client, Family, Residential Conveyancing and Dispute Resolution.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective support services to the firm.
- Deal with tax planning, preparation of wills and wealth protection issues. Experience with HNW and complex matters is advantageous.
- Handle Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Support trust administration, including trust corporations, Family Investment Companies and declarations of trust.
- Assist with probate including taxable estates, foreign element, and claiming BPR and APR.
- Maintain knowledge of Inheritance Tax.
- Manage case load, client correspondence, drafting letters, emails and legal documents.
- Organise client documents, maintain accurate records, file management.
- Use Microsoft Office and legal industry-specific document management systems.
- Communicate at senior levels, develop contacts and maintain marketing skills.
- Work to deadlines and manage pressure typical of private client work.
