We’re working with a well‑established firm that’s looking to welcome an Employment Solicitor with around 2–5 years’ PQE. They want someone who doesn’t just know the law but lives and breathes the fast pace of employment work – someone sharp, dependable, and confident in a busy team environment. If your background includes time in a city practice or a solid medium‑to‑large firm, and you’ve already built a strong foundation in all areas of employment law, you’ll feel right at home here.
- Advising on day‑to‑day HR and employment law issues
- Drafting employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
- Handling and advising Settlement Agreements, Redundancy Matters, and Employment Tribunal claims
- Supporting corporate transactions with employment law input (TUPE, due diligence, etc.)
- Assisting with business development, client training sessions, and marketing initiatives
- Exposure to both claimant and respondent employment work
Key Skills
- Sound legal knowledge, drafting and advisory skills
- Experience of undertaking advocacy in court, chambers or tribunal settings
- Experience of presenting to an audience
- Commercial, practical and financial awareness
- Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels
