Mazco Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace precision engineering manufacturer based in Yateley. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Engineer to support the Engineering and Production teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of CNC machining who enjoys creating manufacturing documentation and ensuring jobs are planned efficiently from start to finish.

The Role

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the flow of work through the business by creating accurate manufacturing documentation and working closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Create manufacturing routings and job packs for CNC machined components.
  • Produce clear and accurate process documentation for production.
  • Support the Engineering team with manufacturing planning and technical queries.
  • Liaise with CNC programmers and production to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain manufacturing data, BOMs and routing information.
  • Ensure documentation meets aerospace quality requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Planning Engineer, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer within precision engineering.
  • Good knowledge of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning.
  • Experience creating routings, job packs and manufacturing documentation.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience within an aerospace or AS9100 manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems is beneficial.
