We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business based in West Byfleet. This is a key role within the inspection department, supporting high-precision aerospace components in a regulated environment.
The Role: As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspection of precision-machined aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and running CMM inspections using Aberlink
- Inspection using Vision TVM35 shadow graph
- First-off and batch inspection of machined components
- Dimensional inspection using handheld measuring equipment including:
- Micrometers
- Bore gauges
- Verniers and height gauges
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within aerospace or precision engineering
- Background in CNC machining or shop-floor manufacturing (turning or milling)
- Strong experience programming and running Aberlink CMMs
- Experience using Vision TVM / shadow graph systems
- Confident using micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of tight tolerances
