Mazco Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected precision engineering manufacturer based in West Byfleet. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Quality Inspector / Quality Operative to support their Quality team and maintain exceptional standards across high‐value components.

The Role

This is a hands‐on quality role suited to someone with experience inspecting tight‐tolerance machined parts in a regulated engineering environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • First‐off, patrol, and final inspection
  • Assisting with and completing inspection reports (AS9102 FAIRs)
  • Checking quality documentation and certification
  • Calibration support
  • Final‐stage deburring and polishing of high‐value components
  • Supporting the Quality Manager across varied quality tasks

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector / Quality Operative role
  • Confident using a range of inspection equipment, including:
  • CNC CMM (Aberlink Axiom or similar)
  • Vision systems and microscopes
  • Surface measurement equipment
  • Shadowgraph
  • Digital height gauges (Trimos)
  • Hand measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support across departments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • What’s on Offer:

    • Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
    • 39‐hour standard working week
    • Overtime paid at 1.5x
    • Choice of day shifts:
    • 08:00-17:00 Mon‐Thu / 08:00-13:00 Fri
    • 07:30-16:30 Mon‐Thu / 07:30-12:30 Fri
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days)
