Mazco Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Atherstone, supplying high-quality components into the aerospace and power generation sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Planning / Manufacturing Engineer to join their office-based engineering team.

The Role

This is a key role supporting manufacturing operations through effective planning, process definition, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and document methods of manufacture, including fixture concepts
  • Support production through planning, process optimisation, and data analysis
  • Prepare and manage BOMs, routings, and work instructions
  • Liaise closely with production, purchasing, and quality teams
  • Monitor capacity and resource requirements
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to plan and track manufacturing activity

Requirements:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production planning environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks (SolidCAM or Edgecam beneficial)
  • Confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proactive, methodical, and solutions-driven mindset
