Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Engineer to support the Engineering and Production teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of CNC machining who enjoys creating manufacturing documentation and ensuring jobs are planned efficiently from start to finish.
The Role
As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the flow of work through the business by creating accurate manufacturing documentation and working closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams.
Responsibilities:
- Create manufacturing routings and job packs for CNC machined components.
- Produce clear and accurate process documentation for production.
- Support the Engineering team with manufacturing planning and technical queries.
- Liaise with CNC programmers and production to ensure efficient workflows.
- Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain manufacturing data, BOMs and routing information.
- Ensure documentation meets aerospace quality requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Planning Engineer, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer within precision engineering.
- Good knowledge of CNC machining processes.
