Mazco Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Sliding Head CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to work on Star sliding head lathes, including SR-32JIII and SR-20J models, in a modern and supportive environment. You will be responsible for the programming, setting, and operating of sliding head CNC machines to produce high-quality components for a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming CNC sliding head lathes using FANUC controls (Star SR-32JIII, SR-20J and similar).
  • Setting and operating machines to ensure components meet tight tolerances and customer specifications.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Performing in-process inspections using measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Monitoring production runs and ensuring machines run efficiently and safely.
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Working collaboratively with the production team and reporting to the CNC shop supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Star sliding head lathes, particularly the SR-32JIII and SR-20J models.
  • Strong knowledge of FANUC programming.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools.
