A well-established precision engineering company in Portsmouth is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their afternoon shift team. This is a hands-on role for someone confident programming, setting, and operating modern CNC lathes in a production and precision-driven environment.
The Role:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines
- Working on fixed head lathes, including twin spindle machines
- Operating INDEX C200 Triple Turret lathes
- Programming and editing at the machine using Fanuc controls
- Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Carrying out basic inspection and quality checks
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (programming, setting & operating)
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc-controlled machines
- Experience with multi-turret / multi-spindle lathes (especially INDEX C200)
- Ability to work independently on the afternoon shift
- A quality-focused mindset with attention to detail
