Mazco Recruitment are working with a precision engineering company in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced CNC Miller (5 Axis) to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls, producing high-precision components for industries such as aerospace, motorsport, and oil & gas.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Create and edit programs directly at the machine using Heidenhain controls
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM data accurately
- Work to tight tolerances and maintain exceptional quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimise machining processes
- Ideally contribute to offline programming using Autodesk Powermill
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in CNC milling (3–5 axis)
- Confident programming with Heidenhain controls
- Ability to set and operate machines independently
- Experience with Powermill CAM software is desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
