Mazco Recruitment are working with a precision engineering company in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced CNC Miller (5 Axis) to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls, producing high-precision components for industries such as aerospace, motorsport, and oil & gas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Create and edit programs directly at the machine using Heidenhain controls
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM data accurately
  • Work to tight tolerances and maintain exceptional quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimise machining processes
  • Ideally contribute to offline programming using Autodesk Powermill

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in CNC milling (3–5 axis)
  • Confident programming with Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to set and operate machines independently
  • Experience with Powermill CAM software is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
