Mazco Recruitment is working with a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Camberley to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / CAD-CAM Programmer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled manufacturing professional to play a key role in supporting and improving CNC machining and precision manufacturing processes within a modern engineering environment.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer / CAD-CAM Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and optimising manufacturing methods, improving production efficiency, and supporting both new and existing projects. Working closely with production, engineering, sales, and operations teams, you will help ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and improve CNC machining and precision manufacturing processes.
  • Create, develop, and optimise CAD/CAM programs for CNC machining operations.
  • Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing methods, route cards, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and assist with resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, sales, operations, and production departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and production methods.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Support the introduction of new products and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer quality requirements, including ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or CAD/CAM Programmer within a precision engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and manufacturing methods.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
  • Ability to create and maintain manufacturing documentation and process instructions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
