Mazco Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Abingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking for a permanent day shift role with a strong hourly rate and excellent work-life balance. The successful candidate will be confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls, working on twin spindle, mill/turn and fixed head machines producing high-precision components for a variety of industries.

The Role:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines
  • Working with Fanuc controls
  • Machining complex precision components to tight tolerances
  • Operating twin spindle, mill/turn and fixed head machines
  • Editing programs and optimising cycle times
  • Conducting first-off and in-process inspection
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Maintaining high quality and production standards

Requirements:

  • Proven CNC turning experience
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Experience with twin spindle and mill/turn machines
  • Ability to program online at the machine
  • Confident reading technical engineering drawings
  • Experience working to tight tolerances
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
