The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Our growing Actuarial team provides a variety of traditional and bespoke actuarial services to our clients including reserving, capital management, actuarial function, Solvency II, Statement of Actuarial Opinion, Pricing and IFRS 17. We also work closely with our external audit team to provide audit services to a wide range of insurance clients. We work with insurance companies in personal lines and in the London Market in the UK, Europe, the US, Bermuda and Asia.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing teams of actuaries delivering a variety of projects;
- Explaining results to technical and non-technical audiences;
- Review and sign-off (upon obtaining RI status) of actuarial analysis, models, working papers and reports;
- Leading ongoing client relationships and developing new client relationships and propositions;
- Playing an active role in the actuarial leadership team which is responsible for the team's strategy;
- Helping to develop the next generation of actuaries.
The Person:
- Experience within Non-life insurance, specifically capital modelling and model validation.
- Qualified Non-Life actuary.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel/VBA/Access.
- Experience using other actuarial software such as R is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and technical attention to detail.
- Interest in managing people and preferably experience working in and leading small teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Proactively develop self and others.
- Proactively manage time effectively and work well with others in a team.
- Proactive and willing to take on responsibility.
- Focussed on delivery of quality.
- Professional and personable approach to work with both clients and colleagues.

Flexibility: Full-time; Part-time; Seasonal (winter) based contracts; and Reduced hours in summer months.
