About the Mid‑Markets team

The Mid‑Markets team specialises in privately owned businesses. In the UK, we support over 13,000 such firms, ranging from entrepreneurial startups to multi‑million‑pound turnover international groups.

About the role

As a graduate trainee, you will join a three‑year training contract, structured as follows:

Year 1

  • Master the art of auditing – Learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
  • Financial statements – Develop deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.
  • Work side by side with clients – Immerse yourself in diverse businesses, understanding their operations and challenges.
  • Build relationships – Connect with key stakeholders across clients, your team and service lines.

Years 2 and 3

As you progress, you will take on increasingly complex audit work – including revenue recognition, valuation and risk assessments – and take ownership of engagements. You will mentor junior team members and continue your professional growth as a permanent employee.
