About the Financial Services Insurance Team
Forvis Mazars offers a world-class audit experience and will provide you with a deep knowledge of the insurance sector. If you join us, you will be part of a brilliant, fast-growing team that delivers vital services to our insurance clients. You will build your knowledge and understanding of the insurance market, and you will provide clients with the specialist expertise required to provide high quality, technically complex, statutory and regulatory audit and assurance services. The UK insurance market is the largest in Europe, the third largest in the world and includes the Lloyd’s market (the oldest active insurance market in the world). We work with some of the largest national and global insurance entities, including general and life insurance companies, insurance brokers and Lloyd’s syndicates.
About the role
As a graduate trainee here’s what will await you during your three-year training contract:
- Year 1: Master the art of auditing: Learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies. Key learning includes financial statements: develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows. Work side by side with clients: Be immersed into the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies. You will need to understand their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances. Build relationships: Connect with key stakeholders both with our clients and internally in your team and across service lines. You will be expected to gather relevant information and build strong professional relationships.
- Years 2 and 3: As you progress, you’ll take on increasingly complex audit work such as revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You’ll also take ownership of audit engagements by taking a leading role in their delivery. You’ll mentor new and junior team members, helping them to settle in and flourish. We are joining as a permanent employee, so the 3 years are only the beginning of your exceptional career journey at Forvis Mazars.
