About The Mid-Markets Team

Our Mid-Markets team’s client base is made up of privately owned businesses. In the UK, we work with over 13,000 of them. You will be part of a dynamic team whose client base covers a full range of business sizes from entrepreneurial startups to multi-million pound turnover international groups.

Role and Training

As a graduate trainee on a three-year training contract:

  • Year 1
    • Master the art of auditing, including preparing meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
    • Develop a deep understanding of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows).
    • Work side by side with clients, understanding their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances.
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders internally and with clients.
  • Years 2 and 3
    • Progress to increasingly complex audit work (e.g., revenue recognition, valuation, risk assessments).
    • Take ownership of audit engagements and lead delivery; mentor newer and junior team members.
    • Continue as a permanent employee; the three years mark the beginning of your career with Forvis Mazars.
