Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd proudly operates its European manufacturing plant in Worcester, a facility that hosts the European Technology Centre and supports customers with the UK’s largest and most experienced engineering team.

As part of this apprenticeship you will learn to install, service, and repair Mazak CNC machines, diagnose faults, check machine alignments, and replace electrical drives, motors and encoders. This field‑based role requires you to visit customers across the Midlands while based in Worcester for the first 39 weeks of the program.

• Specialisation in a core module; apprenticeship at HNC/Level 4.
• Training delivered at HWGTA, Worcester (WR4 9GN).
• Duration: approximately 40–45 months.
• Year 1: 22–39 weeks at HWGTA Training Centre plus one day per week in classroom for the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
• Year 2: work‑based learning in your company, with one day per week at the Training Centre for Level 3 Diploma (Development Knowledge).
• Years 3–4: full‑time on‑the‑job training, preparing for the End Point Assessment to earn your Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification.
• Working hours: 08:15–16:30, Monday to Friday (may start as early as 07:45).
