At Mayo Wynne Baxter, our Private Client Team is renowned for its expertise in supporting clients through sensitive and often complex matters. We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑oriented Attorney Affairs Paralegal to join our team. This role will support the administration and progression of matters relating to powers of attorney and associated private client work. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate or junior candidate who is keen to build a career within Private Client law, working in a supportive and professional environment while developing practical legal skills.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting with the preparation and administration of powers of attorney (LPA) matters
  • Managing and maintaining accurate client files and records
  • Handling correspondence with clients, colleagues, and third parties via email, telephone, and in person
  • Supporting the team with administrative processes, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Drafting basic legal documents and forms under supervision
  • Assisting with applications and submissions to relevant authorities (e.g. Office of the Public Guardian)
  • Attending meetings where appropriate and taking clear, accurate notes
  • Ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail across all work
  • Supporting the wider Private Client team as required

What you will need:

  • A motivated individual with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • A law degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • An interest in Private Client work, particularly powers of attorney and client affairs
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage tasks efficiently and prioritise workload
  • A proactive and professional approach to work
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a legal environment
  • Previous legal work experience (e.g. internships, placements, or administration roles) is beneficial but not essential.
