We are pleased to invite applications for the position of MRI Lead Radiographer at Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London. This post offers an opportunity to provide clinical leadership within a busy multidisciplinary service, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality MRI examinations and an excellent experience for patients and service users.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Radiology Manager and wider team to support clinical governance, drive service improvement, and promote consistent practice through robust training and protocol standardisation. The MRI lead radiographer will provide a customer-focused, high-quality diagnostic radiography service to our patients and service users. The MRI lead will strive for and maintain the best standard of diagnostic imaging and efficiency for our users at all times.
This is a key clinical role providing a safe and diagnostic MRI service across a varied workload within a multidisciplinary clinic. The MRI lead will support the radiology manager in maintaining governance and assist in supporting the service to meet activity and quality improvement goals. Maintain training standards for staff, standardise protocols and optimise efficiency.
Qualifications- Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc equivalent; evidence of a senior MRI role.
- Cardiac MRI experience; PGD awareness CoR approved injection qualification; experience of postgraduate teaching.
- Extensive experience of MRI service scanning equipment and techniques; organisation and prioritisation of workload; quality assurance and clinical governance initiatives.
- Knowledge of appointment utilisation and capacity planning.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Computer skills required.
- Prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and excellent critical thinking skills.
- Experience in private healthcare preferred.
- Current registration with the HCPC; additional specialty certification/training as required.
