We\’re looking for talented and self-motivated Wayfinding Strategists and Designers to join our London studio. With immediate and multiple openings from Designer to Senior Designer level, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an award-winning design practice, delivering high-profile projects throughout the UK and internationally.

Our projects are wide-ranging and diverse, from university campuses, hospitals and cultural venues, to train stations, metro networks, airports and global sporting events. Ideal candidates should have a genuine interest in people and cities, and a passion for developing enduring products and solutions that better the lives of those who use them.

Working closely with our studios in Australia and New Zealand, we’re looking for someone with energy, a voice and enthusiasm to inspire the team and represent the company at all levels, coupled with the drive to continually push themselves and grow in a personal and professional capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects from strategy and concept through to site, whilst adhering to design briefs and programmes.
  • Undertake project and user research, including data collection and analysis.
  • Develop wayfinding strategies, designs, schedules and guidelines for complex buildings and external environments, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate and deliver successful designs.
  • Assist with artwork production and quality assurance.
  • Plan and prepare presentations and design reports to a high standard.
  • Deliver client and stakeholder presentations/workshops with support from the senior team.
  • Act as project lead (for candidates with relevant experience), managing client relationships, budgets, programmes, resources and delivery teams.
  • Assist with new business opportunities, including tenders, pitches and competitions.
  • Mentor or act as a ‘buddy’ to other Wayfinding Designers, Interns or New Starters.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and develop technical and professional development skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, Planning or related field.
  • 2+ years\’ industry experience in wayfinding strategy and design, including a high-quality portfolio of work. Please note: candidates with no previous wayfinding experience will not be considered.
  • Experience multi-tasking and working across concurrent projects, with partners such as Architects, Engineers, Landscape and Urban Planners.
  • Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking skills with a user-centric focus.
  • Strong written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and works well under pressure.
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented and organised, with proven time management skills.
  • Passionate and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An interest in sustainable cities and public transport systems would be highly advantageous.
