Maylim is a landscape contractor specialising in both hard and soft landscaping, paving, highways and civil engineering.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship will enable you to progress to the Horticulture Supervisor Apprenticeship, Advanced Technical Diploma in Horticulture (Level 3) or continued employment in the horticulture industry.
- Follow a landscape maintenance plan, carrying out maintenance tasks under the supervision of your team leader to deliver the highest standards of horticulture care and husbandry.
- Assist the supervisor in compiling maintenance reports by noting observations and concerns.
- Following training, ensure the Health and Safety requirements are followed across all activities and where required ensure RAMS are reviewed and signed.
- Water non-irrigated areas as appropriate for the season.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming and pruning of trees, shrubs and herbaceous.
- Plant, transport, and care for trees and shrubs according to seasonal requirements.
- Apply fertilisers, feed as needed, following safety guidelines and regulations.
- Take care of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and report any replacements needed.
Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.
