A Leading Asset Manager is looking to hire a Senior Portfolio Analyst into the Fixed Income Team. You will be responsible for:

  1. Analysing investment portfolios and developing institutional-level portfolio analysis, messaging, and content to inform key stakeholders.
  2. Engaging with both the portfolio manager and portfolio specialist to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of investment messages.
  3. Developing analysis and content.
  4. Providing outstanding client service and to gather and retain assets.

You will be:

  1. Conducting analysis on assigned investment strategies while incorporating financial market conditions, competitor analysis, asset class characteristics, portfolio construction, and positioning to support the needs of the portfolio manager or portfolio specialist.
  2. Providing research and support to marketing, sales, and client service efforts.
  3. Creating custom analysis, often under the direction of the portfolio specialist, either to anticipate client concerns or to respond to client inquiries in a time-sensitive environment on a global scale.
  4. Developing and maintaining knowledge necessary to act as a subject matter resource on markets, portfolios, portfolio manager thinking and positioning, benchmarks, and peers. Subject matter knowledge is used to support existing strategies and may be used to bolster new product initiatives.
  5. Creating quality and nuanced investment messaging, often in conjunction with the portfolio specialist, to effectively communicate and position results of analysis and inform key stakeholders.

You will possess:

  1. A minimum of 3 years Asset Management experience in a related field.
  2. Chartered Financial Analyst Accreditation (CFA) or currently working towards the CFA.
  3. Solid understanding of Fixed Income and corporate bonds.
  4. Strong interest in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
  5. Good knowledge of derivative instruments.
  6. Experience with market data services (Bloomberg, PORT, Haver) and advanced Excel skills.
