We are looking for an experienced Pricing and Energy Analysts for a growing energy consultancy in the North West UK.
Role 1 - Pricing Analyst
Role is to lead and develop our pricing function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the UK energy market who can take ownership of pricing strategy, supplier pricing analysis, contract comparison and customer pricing support. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping client pricing recommendations, supporting the commercial team, and ensuring the business maintains a high-quality and competitive approach to both fixed and flexible energy procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pricing function across electricity and gas procurement activities
- Prepare, review and manage customer pricing submissions for both fixed and flexible contracts
- Analyse supplier offers and build clear pricing comparisons for internal teams and clients
- Support the development of pricing strategies aligned to market conditions and customer risk appetite
- Work closely with account managers, consultants and trading support to ensure pricing solutions are commercially sound and competitive
- Maintain and improve pricing models, templates and reporting tools in Excel
- Review supplier contract structures, non-commodity elements and pricing assumptions
- Support tender exercises, renewals and bespoke procurement projects
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve pricing queries and improve turnaround times
- Help identify process improvements across pricing, reporting and offer evaluation
- Provide technical pricing guidance to colleagues and support the development of junior team members where required
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the energy industry
- Strong experience in energy procurement pricing
- Proven knowledge of both fixed and flexible energy contracts
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, lookups, data manipulation and pricing model development
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret supplier pricing structures
- Confident working with large datasets and producing accurate pricing analysis
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain pricing clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Role 2 - Energy Analyst
We are seeking an Energy Analyst to support energy procurement, flexible tendering, and wholesale market strategy across gas and electricity portfolios. The role supports flexible and hybrid procurement strategies, supplier engagement, and ongoing portfolio risk management for commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients. This is a practical, market-facing role for someone who wants exposure to real trading decisions, not just reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor UK gas and power wholesale markets and forward curves
- Support flexible tendering processes, including pricing analysis and bid evaluation
- Assist with hedge position tracking, WACOH analysis, and exposure management
- Produce clear client and internal reporting on risk, price performance, and market context
- Support ongoing supplier relationship management, including performance and issue resolution
- Assist senior consultants with procurement recommendations and approvals
- Maintain accurate market, volume, and position data across client portfolios
