We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team, working to decarbonise buildings and construction, currently responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and understanding customer needs to help them find solutions that ensure their success with our software. This is an outbound sales role, focused on engaging with both existing and potential customers to expand our market presence. In this role, you will work with AEC and manufacturing companies across the UK and Ireland. This full-time, permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based anywhere in the UK or Ireland.

What you will do:

  • Hunt and close strategic new business sales in the UK and Ireland
  • Be part of expanding the offering of LCA and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) tools in the AEC and Manufacturing sectors
  • Keep up to date on developments around LCA and EPD standards, PCRs and practices
  • Educate prospects on the value and opportunities of LCA tools, EPD and low-carbon construction
  • Support our LCA software product development where needed
  • Attend industry events around the UK and Ireland when necessary

What you need:

  • First and foremost, you MUST always demonstrate a hunter mentality in your sales approach
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience as an SDR within a B2B SaaS sales environment, ready to move into a BDM role
  • Ability and motivation to maximise the potential of the assigned territory
  • Motivation to help others succeed and to find solutions to their obstacles
  • Preferably, an understanding of LCA/EPD and their importance in the construction/manufacturing industry
  • Fast learning skills and a desire to improve constantly, using what works
  • Customer- and results-oriented attitude and a hands-on approach
  • Curious, with the ability to understand a client’s perspective
  • Fluency in English, as it is our working language
