We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our rapidly expanding team, focusing on decarbonising buildings and construction, which currently accounts for around 40% of global carbon emissions. As our business doubles annually, you will be instrumental in driving growth within the architecture, engineering & construction (AEC) and Manufacturing sectors. Your role involves identifying new opportunities and understanding customer needs to help them succeed with our software. This outbound sales position focuses on engaging with both existing and potential clients to increase our market presence across the UK and Ireland. You will be part of a supportive, dynamic, and mission-driven team, working in a flexible and friendly environment with access to cutting-edge tools and a global team of professionals tackling one of the world's biggest challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hunting and closing strategic new business sales in the UK and Ireland
- Expanding the use of LCA and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) tools in the AEC and Manufacturing sectors
- Staying updated on LCA and EPD standards, PCRs, and practices
- Educating prospects on the value of LCA tools, EPD, and low-carbon construction
- Supporting product development of our LCA software as needed
- Attending industry events in the UK and Ireland when required
Qualifications and skills:
- Demonstrated hunter mentality in sales approach
- At least 12 months of experience as an SDR in a B2B SaaS sales environment, with a desire to progress to a BDM role
- Ability and motivation to maximize territory potential
- Motivated to help others succeed and solve obstacles
- Preferably, knowledge of LCA/EPD and their significance in construction/manufacturing
- Fast learner with a desire for continuous improvement
- Customer- and results-oriented with a hands-on approach
- Curious and able to understand client perspectives
- Fluent in English, our working language
