The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving marketing strategy and ensuring effective administration that supports overall sales performance. This role oversees marketing operations, leading and motivating the team to deliver high-quality marketing administration and digital engagement.The Marketing Manager ensures all website content and promotional offers are current and optimised, manages email marketing aligned with the customer buying cycle, and implements initiatives to improve lead generation and conversion. Additionally, this position is accountable for maintaining and expanding the customer database for targeted campaigns, managing the dealership\’s online reputation to enhance customer ratings, and providing accurate performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through effective marketing communication and service delivery.Implement and uphold all company policies, procedures, and brand standards across marketing operations.Supervise, train, motivate, and support the marketing team to achieve departmental objectives and meet all deadlines.Maintain adequate staffing levels and manage annual leave schedules to ensure continuous business operations.Ensure compliance with all franchise manufacturer requirements in line with company policies and limits of authority.Develop and maintain a clear succession plan for key marketing and administrative roles.Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and security standards within the department.Oversee all aspects of marketing administration and ensure that operational KPIs are achieved.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and franchise partners to support marketing initiatives.Manage monthly reporting processes, including end-of-month reviews, performance summaries, and action plans.Maintain accurate and organised filing systems for all departmental documents and marketing materials.Monitor and analyse website and campaign performance statistics using tools such as Google Analytics, and provide insights to directors.Plan, manage, and deliver localised marketing strategies for multiple dealership locations.Organise and coordinate point-of-sale materials, including procurement and distribution.Collaborate closely with General Managers on website updates, marketing queries, and campaign execution.Develop and execute quarterly marketing plans in coordination with OEM partners.Manage the creation, review, and publication of website content and promotional offers.Conduct regular website audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal user experience.Develop and implement strategies to increase online traffic, conversion rates, and lead quality.Continuously research emerging digital trends, technologies, and social media platforms to enhance marketing effectiveness.Maintain GDPR compliance and ensure marketing databases and preferences are current.Utilise a range of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, PPC, and paid search campaigns.Oversee the company\’s social media strategy and content planning.Manage website development projects, including redesigns, usability improvements, and conversion optimisation.Oversee the marketing budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources across campaigns.Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.Experience, Qualifications and Training Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team to achieve business objectives.Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Comprehensive experience across all marketing functions, with a particular emphasis on digital marketing strategies and execution.Demonstrated capability in planning, implementing, and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including social media management, Google Analytics, and CRM/DMS systems.Excellent project management, organisational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple objectives and meet deadlines.Strong budget management skills with experience in planning and controlling marketing expenditure.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within company policies and procedures.Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate filing and record-keeping systems.Experience utilising CRM and DMS functions in alignment with company controls and operational standards.Knowledge of stock control awareness and the impact of marketing operations on business performance.Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the marketing team and the wider organisation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.A professional, proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in marketing practices.Bachelor\’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within a multi-site or automotive environment (preferred).Mayflower is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
