The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Due to forward planning and our commitment to achieve continued growth and success, we are currently looking to recruit a permanent Proposals Engineer. Reporting directly to the Internal Sales Manager, the successful candidate would be required to have a minimum of five years’ experience within an Engineering estimating role with experience in medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects. Demonstrating a competency, through experience, in the production to prepare sales estimates/quotations and win customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of estimates and quotations.
  • A good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Sourcing of materials and components to compile accurate estimates.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven estimating experience within an engineering background.
  • Experience within fabrication and machining disciplines.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to work to deadline.
  • Well organised and methodical.
  • Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

  • 37 hour working week.
  • 33 days holiday per year (25 days + 8 statutory).
