Due to the growth of the Company, we are seeking an Estimating Engineer to join our team. This is a senior position within the company, reporting to the Internal Sales Manager. Ideally, the successful candidate would be qualified to HNC level in Production Engineering or would be able to demonstrate an extensive background in the production of accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings covering a wide variety of both machining and fabrication work.
It is expected that the successful candidate would have:
- Approximately 3 - 5 years' experience to perform the job at a competent level.
- A solid background in Mechanical Engineering.
- The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- A knowledge of specialist sub-contract trades.
- Proven experience of, and an ability to, demonstrate excellent technical skills.
The company’s client base is wide ranging as is the extent of our manufacturing capability and in recognition of this, we would provide full support and back-up during the initial period of introduction to the company’s Estimating and Sales Department.
The position offers potential for advancement within a very pro-active and progressive company, with an excellent remuneration package which includes:
- Competitive Salary – Dependent upon experience
- 37 hours working week – Early finish on Friday
- 33 Days holiday per year (25 days + 8 statutory)
- Payment of Sickness Absence – Full Salary for 12 weeks
- Life Insurance – whilst in employment with Mayflower Engineering Ltd
- Use of Company caravan
