At Heathlands Care Home, creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment is just as important as the care we provide. That’s why we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team with energy, high standards, and heart.
Location: Heathlands Care Home, 2A Hatch Lane, Chingford, London E4 6NF
Salary: £13.68 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
As our Head Housekeeper, you’ll play a key role in making our home feel like home. Working closely with our Home Manager and wider team, you’ll lead and inspire your housekeeping staff to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, all while keeping our residents’ comfort, dignity, and independence at the heart of everything you do. This is a leadership role where your experience, attention to detail and passion for people will shine through in every room and corridor.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll take full ownership of the housekeeping service across the home organising rotas, managing stock, and ensuring compliance with infection control procedures. You’ll carry out regular audits, support with training and onboarding new team members, and be a friendly, visible presence to residents and families alike.
You’ll know that the little things a freshly made bed, a sparkling window, a tidy lounge can make a big difference to someone’s day.
