We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Mayflower Community Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to support teachers in delivering high-quality learning and play a vital role in helping every child reach their full potential.
You will work closely with teaching staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, supporting pupils both in and outside the classroom.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above
- Have experience working in a primary school setting
- Are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Can work collaboratively and use initiative effectively
- Have a positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Safeguarding, Eligibility and Checks: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out; references will be sought for all shortlisted candidates and all shortlisted candidates will be requested to complete a questionnaire about any convictions or adult cautions that are unspent. Guidance will be given to those shortlisted. Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS.
