Our client sells a portfolio of complex B2B technical products to a global customer base through distributors, partners and direct channels. They need an experienced Product Marketing Manager to own the product marketing workstream for an allocated portfolio, including new digital products moving from validation to market. You'll set positioning, value propositions and go-to-market strategy, brief Campaigns, Digital, Channel and agencies to deliver it, and be accountable for adoption and commercial performance across the lifecycle. Delegated authority over product-level decisions and a significant marketing budget, with no line management but plenty of cross-functional leadership.
What you'll be doing:
- Commercially validating products using customer, market and competitor insight
- Building buyer personas and turning them into positioning, messaging and go-to-market plans
- Writing product marketing briefs that direct Campaigns, Digital, Channel and agency delivery
- Owning adoption and growth plans through the lifecycle, including account-level adoption and migration to new products
- Defining distributor and partner enablement: product guides, sales tools, training
- Tracking commercial performance and recommending changes to positioning and investment
- Representing the voice of the customer into Product Management and senior leadership
What we're looking for:
- 5 to 8 years in B2B product marketing in complex, technical or regulated markets
- A track record of taking products to market and growing adoption beyond launch
- Experience enabling indirect routes to market through distributors and partners
- Strong customer insight, commercial judgement and performance measurement
- Ability to lead cross-functional work and influence senior stakeholders without line authority
- Confident with CRM, marketing automation and analytics tools, strong in Excel and PowerPoint
- Marketing or business degree, CIM Level 6, or equivalent experience
