Mayfleet Recruitment is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a public sector digital programme on a contract basis.
Rate: £400 per day Inside IR35
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Flexible, remote with occasional travel to Newcastle
Clearance: Active SC, or eligible and willing to undergo it
This is a hands-on engineering role building and supporting event-driven Java services, working in an agile team across the full delivery life cycle.
Essential experience:
- Java and Spring Boot
- Kafka and MongoDB
- A working understanding of Docker images and containers
- Unit testing and TDD
- BDD testing in Gherkin style, ideally with Cucumber
- At least one CI/CD tool, such as Jenkins, GitLab or GitHub
Desirable:
- AWS services such as SQS, S3, SNS and KMS
- GitLab CI/CD
- Load testing with Gatling or k6
- Kubernetes or ECS
- Working in Scrum or Kanban teams
