An exciting opportunity has arisen to tell the stories behind the FIM Speedway World Championship. Working alongside new FIM Speedway global promoter Mayfield Sports Events Ltd, you will bring fans up close and personal with the stars of the individual Speedway GP World Championship and the FIM Speedway World Cup. You will also play a key role in highlighting and promoting the stars of tomorrow in our junior and youth categories – SGP2, SON2, SGP3 and SGP4, as well as remotely supporting our coverage of other speedway action around the world when required.
Outside of event weeks and throughout the off-season, you will plan and post engaging content, as well as follow social media trends and ensure FIM Speedway is part of the conversation at every opportunity. In this role, you will lead content planning, publishing and strategy execution across social platforms and channels. You will collaborate with design, marketing, and content teams to bring digital storytelling to life—online and on the ground at all events. Experience with mobile content capture and a passion for sport, especially motorsport, is preferred.

- Collaborate with design, marketing, and content teams to bring digital storytelling to life—online and on the ground at all events.
- Plan and post engaging content outside event weeks; follow social media trends and ensure FIM Speedway is part of the conversation at every opportunity.
- Be on site for every FIM Speedway event where required, working with the FIM Speedway press officer and the team to elevate the sport and reach new audiences.
- Conceptualising and executing social media strategy, including graphic design and video editing for all platforms, working closely with the FIM Speedway press officer.
- Creating content that is unique to the sport, monitoring social media trends, and creating/repurposing content to capitalise on these trends.
- Creating social media content, including but not limited to photo and video carousels, racing highlights in short and long form, rider interviews and games and activities with the stars of our sport.
- Adapting content to suit each platform, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok etc.
- Editing videos on and off site, highlight reels and videos filmed with riders, including broadcast footage supplied by the TV production team.
- Providing coverage and promotion of the FIM Speedway fanzone.
- Scheduling content for the days and weeks before and after events and during the off-season.
- Sharing FIMSpeedway.com news stories on social media on request.
- Assisting with coverage of other relevant speedway events, including the FIM SGP Challenge, FIM Speedway qualifying events, Speedway European Championship, FIM Women’s Speedway events, national championships etc.
- Creating race day/week graphics, fanzone carousels and various other graphics for social media.
- Managing ticket sales campaigns, adverts, promotions and other activities relating to the promotion of the event.
- Being “on call” at all times to make social media posts and share news and other information.
